Gateley Built Environment appointed as employer’s agent and clerk of works on Boston development
We have been appointed by L&G Affordable Homes Division (L&G) to provide both pre- and post-contract support and quality inspection services for the delivery of 122 affordable homes at a major new housing development off Wainfleet Road in Boston, Lincolnshire.
The development is a partnership between L&G, Langcroft and Seagate Homes and will provide 85 homes for social rent and 37 homes for shared ownership, across a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom houses and bungalows. The project has been backed by Boston Borough Council, which has provided more than £1m in funding to support the delivery of affordable housing in the local area, alongside £12m of grant funding from Homes England.
With a contract value of £20.8m, our team, comprising Harman Singh Barech, George Pain, Chad Yates and Kevin Edwards, is acting as employer’s agent, providing cost management advice and delivering both pre- and post-contract services. In addition, we have been instructed as clerk of works for the development, ensuring the construction works comply with building regulations and meet the required quality standards.
Harman Singh Barech, technical director at Gateley Built Environment said: “It’s brilliant to see this transformative housing development progress. Not only will it make a significant contribution to the delivery of much-needed affordable housing in the area but also provide valuable community benefits. We look forward to continuing to support L&G throughout the scheme.”
